De Haan Series
The first official series of Laura K. Smith Paintings, the De Haan Series is a celebration of the seaside town of the same name. Inspired by the dune forests and the coastal views, these paintings are intended as snapshot of the colour and liveliness of the place. Light-filled paths, hidden staircases, and intense sunsets are a few of the subjects of this series. When I visit De Haan, I feel both energized and peaceful — states of being I aim to translate into my paintings.
